MACANDREW BAY ORPHANS CLUB
The twenty-seventh annual meeting of the Macandrew Bay Orphans’ Club was held on Saturday night, the president, Bro. It. Kell as, presiding over a good attendance of members. Following the loyal toast and opening ode, Bro. Kellas extended a welcome to those present. The annual report and balance sheet, which was received and adopted, showed the club to be in a very healthy financial position. The election of officers for the 1947 season resulted as follows: —President, Bro. W. T. Maule; vice-presidents, Bros. <J. G. Thomson and J. Parker; secretary, Bro. E. N. Sudden; treasurer, Bro. W. Dow; auditor, Bro. A. Ombler; musical director, Bro. H. Shurrock; chief steward, Bro. C. Fleming; committee—Bros. R. H. Anderson, A. Challis, E. E. V. Jury, H. Kell?s, J. Kelson, J. Nielson, G. \V. Tregonning.
