OTAGO TEAM TO TOUR’ UNION APPROVES ITINERARY At the meeting last night of the Management Committee of tho Otago Rugby Football Union the president (Mr. ft. W. S. Botting), was in the chair. i The following itinerary for the Otago team’s northern tour was approved:— v. Manawatu, August 23; v. Poverty Bay—East Coast, August 27; v. Hawke’s Bay, August 30; v. Wairaraipa, September 3; v. Canterbury, September 6. ■ Saturday, September 13 was approved as the date for the return match with Southland. . It was decided to play representative matches against North Auckland' and Auckland on Wednesday, August 13 and Wednesday, August 20 respectively, provided that Otago had 1 not been successful in the Ranfurly Shield match with Southland on August 2. But if Otago then held the shield, the matches would be played on Saturday, August 9, and Saturday, August 16 respectively. APPLICATIONS FOR TRANSFER. The following transfers were approved : —I. M. Baird from Strath Taieri to Alhambra; C. C. Foley from Marist, Auckland, to Pirates; N. McFelin from Green Island to Dunedin; K. McLennan from Toko, to Pirates; K. A.' Turner from the Kamo Club, Auckland, to Alhambra; J. McLaren from Kaikorai to Alhambra; M. D. Guy from Strath Taieri to Southern; S. W. Botting from Kaikorai to Pirates. G. Logie was granted provisional permission to play for Zingari pending the arrival of a clearance from the Eastbourne Club, Wellington. An application from E. D. Michie for transfer from Kaikorai to Alhambra was refused. REGRADING. Ah application from the Port Chalmers Club to play N. Styles in the fourth grade, and an application from Taieri to have L. Blackie transferred from first grade to third, were both referred to the Junior Advisory Committee. The Junior Advisory Committee reported that it had granted a dispensation to Pirates to play W. Potter in fourth grade. The committee stated that it had decided to recommend to the Management Committee that K. Waldren, Brighton, be refused a regrading.
