Associated Gold Dredges.—The return to March 1 was 106£oz from 59,302 yards m 276 j hours. * Snowy River.—The return for the last week was lOloz in 251 hours from 43,000 yards. ’Gold Mines of New Zealand.—Return-for February: Arahura dredge, 514 hours, 331,000. yards, 6380 z; Kameri dredge, 398 hours, 184,000 yards, 5930 z. , Austral-N.Z.,—A. return of :410oz for 239 hours was won in the 14 days ended March PRICE OF SILVER. _ NEW YORK, March 3/ The officikl price of silver rose to 81i cents an ounce torday. Bullion dealers said the chief factor was- the strong domestic demand and the slim supply. London inquiries were reported to be negligible.- Lastweek the price moved up from 70.4- cents to 77 cents, mainly under pressure, from British dealers buying for India; ' DIVIDENDS DECLARED. Bond’s Hosiery Mills (N.-Z.) advises that at the annual meeting on March 28 - the directors will recommend an annual dividend of .10 per- cent'; for thp year' ended January 19,- 1947.
