SOLDIER DIES
RADIO-ACTIVE MATERIALS FAIL (Rec. 8 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 2 After weeks of suffering from leuksemia the ex-soldier died to-day in the military hospital. The supplies of radio-active materials flown from America were administered without success. Death was due to a rare disease in which the proportion of white corpuscles to red increases, causing acute aneemia. The case was the first in Australia in which fission products had been used.
