TWO ARMIES UTTERLY DEFEATED NANKING, February 19. The Ministry of Information announced that two Communist armies have been “utterly defeated” in the Southern Shantung Province. It added that the armies, which were commanded by Generals Chen Yi and Liu \ Po Cheng, “ practically ceased to exist,” and the defeated forces are trying to flee northward across the Yellow River. _____
