GOVERNORSHIP CONTEST

ANOTHER ROUND TO TALMADGE

(Rec. 8 a.m.) NEW YORK, February 16. Mr Herman Talmadge received another decision in his favour to-day when the series of court actions over the Georgia governorship was continued. Superior Judge Bond Almond ruled that Talmadge and not Thompson was the State’s legal governor. The Fulton National Bank of Atlanta had sought the judge’s direction which claimant to the governship could draw on the Georgia executive fund. , Two Georgia judges have now ruled for Talmadge compared with one for Thompson, but no final decision can be reached until the appeals against all three decisions are heard by the Georgia Supreme Court, probably in March.
