Loyal Princess Mary Lodge was well attended at its meeting on Tuesday evening, with N.G. Sister Smith in charge of proceedings. , It was announced that the half-yearly past officers’ and purple degrees would be conferred in the lodge room of Loyal Albion on Thursday, March G. Routine business was quickly transacted, aqd members, together with representatives of sister lodges, participated in an enjoyable dance. During the illness of N.G. Bro. Lysaght, business in the Loyal Centenary Lodge has been conducted by P.G. Bro. J. Peake. At Tuesday’s * meeting he welcomed home P.G. Bro. J. Moore, who has just returned from a trip to England, and at a later date the lodge will hear a resume of Bro. Moore’s experiences. Visitors were present from the Princess Mary, Caversham, Albion, Dunedin, and Hand and Heart Lodges. A considerable amount of routine business was transacted, after which card games were played, under the sponsorship of P.G. Bro. E. Harrison, prizes being awarded to Sis- : ters Scoones and Brown and Bros. ' Moore and Fergusson. , -I N.G. Bro. G. Pellowe presided over the usual meeting of Loyal Hand and Heart, there being a good attendance of members. One new member was admitted with the usual formalities. , The summoned meeting was reopened, ' and P.P.G.M. Bro. J. H. F. Harne' j presented the annual balance sheet. He ' was supported by P.P.G.M. Bro. A. j Sligo, who held the attention of the meeting by a survey of lodge affairs j generally. At the next meeting P.G. j Bro. C. Hunt will give a talk on build- | ing and woodwork generally. | Some.2o members of the order, in- j eluding the district officers, visited I Loyal Outram Lodge on Monday evening and installed the officers elected ■ for the ensuing term, among whom was j the newly-appointed per. sec., Bro. Es- j plin, formerly a member of Loyal Cav- j ersham Lodge. At this meeting two new members were admitted to the lodge. 'Phe newly-installed officers are all young, and are keen to work, the lodge into a flourishing condition.
