RADIO HOBBIES CLUB

The monthly committee meeting of the Otago ißadio Hobbies Club was held in the Central Mission Hall last night. Mr A. R. White was in the chair. The Secretary reported that the financial credit was £44 6s Bd. Air White, in his report, stated that the matter of obtaining a section for the new club buildings had now been arranged, as word had been received from the Ocean Beach Domain Board, stating that the club could now proceed to"erect its building. In the matter of finance for the 'building, Mr White said that he had received a cheque for £SO from the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. Parry, and this money was to be used in the purchase of a suitable building. It was reported that through the assistance of Mr Tooliey, of Dunedin, a building had now been obtained, and it was hoped to have it in Dunedin within the next few weeks; A vote of thanks was carried unanimously for the good work done by Mr White on behalf of the club. The committee passed a resolution that the support of the public be obtained in an effort to raise £IOO, which is the sum required to cover the final cost of the building, transport, electric power, and drainage. The committee decided that the club would start activities for the year next Tuesday, and the committee would like to welcome any new members at the meeting. • The committee thanks the following for their help to the club with the building programme:—The Hon.
