BOWLING CLUB MARDI GRAS The Maeandrew Bay Bowling Club had a successful day for the opening of its Mardi Gras oh Saturday, although the fact that tho swimming gala and also the Boating Club’s regatta had to be postponed on account of the weather, affected the attendance to a certain extent. In the circumstances the first day’s efforts were considered highly encouraging. Satisfactory attendances, were again recorded on Monday evening, and last night, and the carnival will be continued each evening this week, concluding 'on Saturday. When the conditions permit the games will be conducted on tho grass enclosure adjoining the Public Hall* instead of inside the building as at present- Buses leave the Queen’s Gardens each evening at 7.45.
