The 18-year-old New Zealand violinist, Alan Loveday, of Palmerston North, gained the major success of the evening at a promenade concert in the Royal Albert Hall last night. He played Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Minor with the 8.8. C. Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Basil Cameron.
