FEARS NO PICKPOCKET
In broad daylight in Tottenham Court, London, a pickpocket marked down a well-dressed man with bulging pockets and a negligent air. He sidled up and slipped a hand into one pocket. There was a yell of terror, and the “ dip ” was seen sprinting for his life down a side street. In the opposite direction a small snake was wriggling down a drain near which it had been dropped. The man with the bulging pockets was the well-known fiddler and magician, Sirdani, and the snake —non-poisonous—was used in one of his acts.
