STRUCK BY WOOL BALE. Suffering from a broken, heel, received when a bale of wool slipped from a chute at Wright Stephenson’s wool store, Edward Walker, residing at 74 Marion street, Caversliam, was admitted to hospital at 5.20 p.m. yesterdaj- PIG HUNT FATALITY. Found unconscious at the base of a steep 60ft bank, down which he had fallen on Sunday, Hiroki .Brown, of ; Tolaga Bay, aged 47, a married man with seven children, was carried out by a rescue party and admitted to Cook Hospital late yesterday. He died early this morning. Brown, with a son, aged 11. had been hunting pigs, and after, firing his gun at an animal, he had continued the chase. » ' The boy searched for his father till nightfall, and next morning neighbours continued the search, finally .discovering the man, who was suffering from concussion.—Gisborne Association message.
