'LOVE IN IDLENESS'

To-morrow night, at His Majesty’s theatre, for five nights only, Whitehall Productions Ltd. (London and Australia) will present Terence Rattigan’s comedy success, ‘ Love In Idleness,’ which has had a phenomenal run in London, and is the current attraction on Broadway, New York. The Sydney ‘ Daily Mirror,’ reporting on the first night.at the Minerva Theatre, said: “ Whitehall Productions has surpassed all previous shows in its current presentation of ‘ Love In Idleness.’ For entertainment value it has no equal; the story, is so modern and so delightful, and is a personal triumph for Richard Parry, who plays the part of Sir John Fletcher. Rattigan, in writing this delightful play, must have had in mind an actor such as Parry," for lie fits so easily and gracefully into the difficult role of a war-time Cabinet Minister. The Minerva has given us some splendid productions, but 1 Love In Idleness ’ leads them all. Exactly the same cast will appear throughout New Zealand. The box plan is at the D.I.C.
