MEMBER SUSPENDED
HEATED SCENE IN QUEENSLAND PARLIAMENT CHALLENGES TO FIGHT HURLED ACROSS FLOOR BRISBANE, Nov. 14. Challenges to fight were hurled across the House in a,heated scene in Parliament to-day when the member for Bundaberg, Mr F. d- Barnes, was suspended for two weeks. The action was taken against him for refusing to apologise for hjs part in the incident in the dining room on Tuesday, Mr Barnes alleges that he was hit on the chin by the Minister of Health and Home "Affairs, Mr Thomas A. Foley, who claims that he acted in self-de-fence. To-day the Speaker gave Mr Bqrnea three opportunities to apologise, and then a motion for his suspension was carried. During the counting of the votes (Mr Barnes kept shouting ” You are a lot of curs,” and the House, was in an uproar as Goverumeut members hotly retorted.
