RE-ENTRY INTO TRANSATLANTIC TRADE NEW YORK, November 14. The largest liner in the United States, the America, will sail on her first voyage to-morrow since her conversion from a naval transport.. The America, operating to Cork, Southampton, and Le Havre, will make the United States’ first post-war bid for a share of the trans-Atlantic luxury trade. The America was refitted at a cost of R.000.000d01. Her entry into the trans-Atlantic trade has been publicised throughout the nation as the beginning of a new era in American maritime service. The America is of 26.454 tons, and has a speed of 24 knots..
