CHOIR BOYS WIN
STRIKE FOR HIGHER FAY WILL NOW SING FOR THREEPENCE A MASS (Rec. ‘ll a.m.) PARIS, Nov. 14. A 12-day strike of choir boys ended at Dijon to-day when the church agreed to a sixfold increase In their wages. The boys refused to sing for a franc (about £d) per mass, complaining that it would take nearly six months to save up enough for a bar of chocolate. ✓ The negotiations resulted in an agreement to pay six francs per mass and preferential hiring for , more lucrative marriages.
