CIVIL APPOINTMENT FOR WAR GENERAL
WASHINGTON, November 11
Lieutenant-general Harold George, who built up the American Air Transport Command during the war, has resigned from the. army air force and the United Nations military staff to become president and chairman of the board of Peruvian International Airways, which will operate between Lima, Panama, Havana, New York, and Montreal.
