'From reports and diaries in the possession- of the department, it had been estimated that the Tomahawk Lagoon : carried' approximately 1401 b of fisli-per Acre, -which was. regarded as an excellent yield. Much more data were still required,. A general survey of the whole of New Zealand is being undertaken, and it is hoped to get anglers to record more information concerning their catches from the various waters.Diaries for - the purpose may be obtained from the Otago Acclimatisation .Society, but it is emphasised that the Value of any diary lies in a continuous record being kept from year to year.
