Russian weight-lifters who were defeated by 20 points to 10 in the championship by an American team, are accused by the American team manager, Bob Hoffman, of.buying a silver cup from a Paris silversmith and engraving it to show a Russian victory, says the British United Press correspondent. Hoffman ' said : “ Apparently the Russians did not like returning to Russia and admitting .an American victory.”
