SEVERAL EXPLOSIONS REPORTED
BRITISH CASUALTIES MOUNTING
(Rec. 10.40 a.m.) JERUSALEM, November 3. It is officially stated that 10 British aoldiers were injured, three of them seriously, when a military truck was blown up six miles from Tel-Aviv by an electrically-detonated mine yesterday. Simultaneously another truck ran' into a wire hung 18in above a road north of Petach Tikva, on the plain of Sharon. , The driver was slightly injured. An hour later a road bridge south of Tel Mond was damaged by an explosion. British military casualties fo# the week are now five killed and 45 wounded....’ ; Two Jews were killed and nine wounded early to-day when Arabs, trying to prevent the establishment of a Jewish village on Lake Hula, near the Jordan River’s head waters, fired against Jews ploughing land and erecting the first buildings. Two Arabs were killed and an Arab woman injured in the ensuing fight, which was stopped by police after a fight. The’building of the settlement—the sixteenth since October I—continued. ■
