GUN CHAMPIONSHIP
A. N. TURNER AGAIN WINS
Last event on the South Island gun championship programme, which was shot on the Dunedin Gun Club’s grounds at Green island on Saturday afternoon, was the South Island , clay target championship, which was E won by A. N. Turner (Christchurch). The event was 25 targets off 18yds, and attracted 73 entries. , A strong variable wind was blowing at the time,' with scattered showers and changing light. ■ , Both the winner and b. L. Graham (Southbridge) -broke 23 targets,'arid in the shoot off, Turner, missed one and Graham missed two, giving . the former the championship. Third and fourth money in the sweepstake was divided between L. Kear (Rangiora) and J. Brightling (Christchurch). Other good scores were made by I, R. Jacobson (SbuthbridEe). W. Telford ( Balelutha). W. J. Patterson (Lakeside), who broke 21, and G. E. Turner (Dunedin').' G. Sinclair (Balchitha), and T. W . Burgess . (Houipana). who broke-20 targets. MrR. L. Begg was the referee.
