The Communist leaders of the revolt against the authority of the New South Wales Trades and Labour Council suffered a reverse wlieh the boilermaker!, employed at Mori’s Dock and associated works instructed all paid official* of the union, irrespective of status, to attend all meetings of .the Labour Council’s Disputes Committee, and to remain during the currency of the meetings: The boilermakers also asked that a general meeting should .be held as soon as possible by the Disputes Committee to discuss terms in the Mort’i Dock strike. The decision is regarded as, embarrassing for, the secretary, /who has favoured the boycotting of the Disputes Committee meetings attended by mem* bers of the breakaway Balmain: union, Other Left Wing unions are also re- , acting against the violent tactics of the leaders. ’
