NEHRU PARTY FIRED ON
(Rec. 10 a.m.) LAND! KOTAL, Oct. 20. North-west Frontier tribesmen opened fire on the Nehru party when it visited a frontier outpost in the Khyber Pass to-day. The escorting troops returned the fire. The tribesmen also stoned the party as the cars climbed a steep hill. Reuter’s correspondent was nit on the head and slightly injured.. In the ambush glass was showered on Nehru when stones shattered the car window. Nehru, after the attack, finished his journey to Peshawar under a heavilyreinforced escort. He was met by tanks at the entrance to the town.
