HUGE INCREASE IN NET INCOME (Rec. 12.45 p.m.) WASHINGTON, October 20. American farmers’ net income for 1946 is. estimated at 14,800,000,000 dollars, compared with 4,700,000,000 dollars before the war. Farmers during the war bought 4,779,000,000 dollars’, worth of bonds and increased their cash savings from 3,900,000,000 dollars to 13,990,000,000 dollars.
