SPORTS IN THE RAIN
McGLASHAN COLLEGE FIXTURE GOOD TIMES DESPITE CONDITIONS TJiough rain fell for most of yesterday afternoon, it did nothing to dampen the spirits of the pupils of John Me.Glashan College who held their annual sports day at Logan. Park. Under more favourable conditions it is more than likely that several records would have been .broken, as the times actually recorded were excellent under the existing heavy track conditions. Competition, was keen in most classes, and particularly in the championship events, some close finishes were witnessed. A number of events, mostly preliminaries, were run off prior to the sports day, but there are still some to be completed, and these will be dealt with at a later date.
