BOWLING CARNIVAL

One of the brightest carnivals held in the district was opened by the Mayor (Mr D. C. Cameron)- in the Kaikorai School Hall last night in aid of the pavilion building fund of the Kaikorai Bowling Club. The numerous stalls are heavily stocked with a variety of produce, with special attention paid to children’s apparel, which is being offered at most reasonable prices. A feature of to-night’s carnival will be •a parade,of bands and a “highland” entertainment, and a mannequin, parade will be staged to-morrow afternoon. The carnival will conclude tomorrow night. , -
