The Australian Emulators

(Bee. 12.40 p.m.) BRISBANE, September 12. Twenty-two families of the “squatters ” who had moved into buildings at Holland Park Military Hospital were deprived of gas and electricity by the military * authorities. Last night the Minister of the Army, Mr F. M. Forde, ordered the restoration of the the ser-

vices. Mr Forde said he acted because he had the greatest sympathy for homeless families. Despite barbed wire and log barriers, a second invasion, carried out in darkness, provided the squatters with bedding and furniture. It is believed that 110 men, women, and children are in occupation.
