MAORI HILL POST OFFICE

ACCOMMODATION IN CORONATION HALL The request of the Post and Telegraph Department for the use of portion of the Maori Hill Coronation Hall as a post office has been agreed to, reports the Works Committee of the City Council. The department will be responsible for the cost of the alterations necessary to make a room available and also the renovations required. As the room has been used as a supper room, alterations are necessary to make alternative accommodation available in the premises for this purpose. The rental has been fixed on an annual basis at the rate of £52 per annum. The department advises that the premises will probably be required for five years, and also asks for an option for a further two years if required, and these requests have been agreed to.
