It is the opinion of the Timaru Boxing Association that Bos Murphy was looking ior easy pickings in New Zea land, as he was unwilling to meet the retired and undefeated : middle-weight champion, Cliff Hanham. As Murphy is now a middle-weight, and as the Timaru Association released him from his contract with Enright to fight Vic Patrick, it was thought that Murphy would have accepted Hanham’s challenge.
