WAZIRISTAN VILLAGES
BOMBING OUTCOME OF KIDNAPPING N LONDON, September 9. Six villages in Waziristan were bombed after the villagers refused to comply with a demand by the Governor of North-west Frontier Province, Sir Olaf Caroe, for reparations for kidnapping Major J. Donald, political agent for South Waziristan, says Reuter’s New Delhi correspondent. Official sources said the villagers, who were warned to evacuate, suffered no casualties, but three people were killed during accidental bombing of a neighbouring village. The correspondent points out that the North-west Frontier' Province Congress leader, Khan Abdul Chaffar Khan, referred to this incident when he made a statement in Peshawar about “ mass aerial bombardment.” Major Donald, who was kidnapped on June 22, was released with two companions after an £B,OOO loan had been granted to tribesmen/
