The belief that “ Gunner Chrisp,” the man whose identity has baffled the authorities sitice he was found wandering among I'iiitcd Kingdom, troops in Tunisia on May 3, 13-13, is an Australian airman is held by a Melbourne resident. From the description in the Australian newspapers, lie considers that the man is War-rant-officer A. C. Kidson, of the R.A.A.F. Advice to this cli’ect has been received at Auckland by the Joint Council of the Order of St. John and the Xew Zealand Red Cross Society from the Australian Red Cross. With a view to identification the council has been asked, to forward photographs. It is stated that. Kidson lead girl friend, Betty, in Melbourne, and the council has also boon asked to forward photographs of the woman
found in “ Chrisp’s ” possession.Press Association.
