PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY
ANNUAL MEETING The year’s work was reviewed at the fifty-seventh annual meeting of the society on Monday night. The society had succeeded in maintaining a sound position in spite of increasing expenses. Exhibitions had been well supported, and meetings well attended during the year. The retiring president, Mr R. G. Ratcliff, thanked members of the council and the club for their support during his two years in office. The only nomination for the office of president was that of Hr Raymond Kirk, who was duly elected. Dr Kirk emphasised the aims of the club which were photography and the achievement of standards of work of which its members could be proud. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted on the motion of Messrs Carl Dickson and G. Jackson. Office-bearers were elected as follows—Patron, Mr S. H. Rawson: president, Dr Raymond Kirk; immediate past president, Mr IR. G. Ratcliff • vicepresidents—Mrs D. Y. Erwin Mr James J. Webster, and the president of the Otago Art Society; secretary Miss M. Valentine ; treasurer, Miss N’! Lawrenson; exhibition secretary, Mr C. A. Weedon; lion, judge, Mr‘j G Johnston of council— Messrs F. T. Allan, R. Grant, E. H. Tarltori and C. C. Roberts; librarian, Mr Carl Dickson; editor, Mr A. G. Armstrong.
