GOODS TRAIN DERAILED.
STOP PRESS
The derailment of six wagons of a south-hound goods train south of Mercer at 2.30 a.m. today caused delay to the Welling-ton-Auckland express which reached Auckland at 11.15 a.m., four and a-quarter hours late. The express was held at Frankton, continuing the journey when a breakdown gang from Auckland cleared the line.—Auckland Press Association.
