COMMUNITY SING

The usual weekly sing will be held ill the Strand Theatre oil Friday, commencing at 12.16. A special appeal will be made for the Otago and Southland War Amputees’ Association. Donations can be sent to Mr J. F. Hamburg, care of Charles Begg and Co. Lt. Invitations have been sent to the members of the. Australian and All Black Rugby teams to be present. The guest performer will be Mr Frank Watt, baritone, who has just returned' to Dunedin after an absence of 13 years in the Old Country. An old lady of 88 years, living in Anderson’s Bay, has made a lovely bed jacket (pink), and donated it to the Sing Committee, and it will be sold on Friday. Mr H. P. Desmoulins will be leader with Mr Alf; Pettitt at the piano. Goods are' acceptable for the stall.
