SERMONS IN OCCUPIED ZONE (Rec. 10 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 2. Sermons are again supervised in the Soviet zone “ as formerly by the Gestapo,” said Vatican radio. Russian secret police examined clergymen for hours and forbade the dissemination of uncensored religious literature. The radio added that the British, French, and American occupation authorities were aware of these facts, but were covering them up in the interest of inter-Allied relations.
