FOOD SHIPS IN AUSTRALIA
SCHEDULES CHARGED (Rec. 1.45 p.m. - SYDNEY, September 3. The schedules of two overseas food ships'held up on the Australian coast because of coal shortages have been changed. The spokesman of the British Ministry of Transport stated that the Baron Stranraer, with a full cargo of flour, waited a week at Adelaide before obtaining sufficient coal to sail. The Empire Aden could not lift B,pOO tons of flour from Sydney because there were insufficient trucks to bring the flour from the mills. The vessel could not travel to Fremantle, where a full flour cargo waited, because of the cpal shortage at Melbourne. She has been diverted to load general cargo where available on the east coast.'
