IMPROVEMENT ON LAST WEEK BURNSIDE STOCK SALE With'a small entry of fat cattle at to-day’s Burnside - market, ‘ there was an improvement in values compared with; last week’s rates. There- were spveral consignments of choice quality:: with a smaller number of light and ordinary sorts. Competition from -the outset of the sale showed.- an improvement of about £1 a head on last week’s sale, and this was maintained fairly, regularly throughout -.the sale until the last, race,' when prices receded to last week’s,rates.-Heifers also . met with good competitionj while cows: appeared to be slightly easier.- ' Extra prime bullocks realised up to £2B 2s 6d: prime, £2l-12s 6d to £25 7s 6d; medium, £18..17s 6d to £19:17s 6d; and -light from £l6 7s 6d ; ■ Extra prime cows to £l7 '7s 6d ; prime, £ll 12s 6d to -£l4 12s 6d ; medium £9 12s 6d to £ll 12s 6d; and light from'£B 7s. 6d. , Extra prime heifers to'£18; 2s 6d ; prime, £l4 12s 6d to £l6 7s 6d; medium £ll 12s 6d to £l2 17s -6dand - light-from £8 17s-6d.
