NATIONAL AIRWAYS SCHEDULE I : . { MAIL AND FREIGHT FACILITIES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 14. The air service between Auckland, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, and Wellington .will be resumed as from September 2. This is announced by the National Airways Corporation. A Lodi-, heed Electra aircraft will be used on the service, which was suspended during the war. Additional Cook Strait services will also be introduced from September 2. With the introduction of Dominie aircraft on the run, the Auckland service, arriving at Wellington at 11.10 a.m., will connect with the services to the South Island, and the departure from Wellington at 11.45 a.m. will have made the connections from the South Island. Passengers from Auckland can spend half a day in New Plymouth and return the same day, while NeSv'Plymouth passengers can spend an afternoon and evening in Auckland and return the following morning. The mail and freight facilities are exceptionally advantageous,, to the' business community. Postings on any day will be as far south as Invercargill the following afternoon, and in the opposite direction mails from the South Island will be in the New : Plymouth Post Office by ,2.30 p.iii. each day, except Sunday.
