MOST POPULAR PLAYERS
MAGAZINE READERS' VERDICT Clark Gable and Van Johnson.have been voted the most popular actors on the screen by readers of ' Screen Guide Magazine.' Gable was named the all-time favourite actor, and Johnson the favourite male star of the year in the poll. At the same time, Margaret O'Brien was chosen as the best child performer for, her acting in ' Our Vines have Tender Grapes,' and the ' Anchors A weigh ' Was selected as the best picture of the year. The editors of the magazine will present appropriate ' plaques to the winners.
Greer Garson graduated with honours from the University of London and the University of Grenoble in- France—as a. teacher.
