OBITUARY
MR LEONARD S. H. HUTTQN The sudden death, at the age of 71, occurred last Friday of Mi- Leonard Sydney Hillsden Hutton, who was well known in the softgoods trade iu Ounedin. The late Mr Hutton began his business career- as a boy with D.I.C. Ltd., subsequently serving with several retail firms and warehousemen in Wellington / and Christchurch, and with Messrs M&ckay Logan Caldwell Ltd. in Dunedin, tie laier became tnt representative in Timaru of this firm until its liquidation, after which he represented various importers, and manufacturers in South Canterbury. In 1932 Mr Huttou vvas appointed branch manager for Messrs Reginald G. Kain Ltd. in Dunedin, and .remained with this firm up to the time of his death. „, Mr Hutton was a member of a family of nine sons, a family which will be remembered as having provided the •'Hutton Orchestra " which ( gave a series of concerts, in the Garrison Hall in the years gone by. Mr Hutton was a member of the Leith Bowling Club, the Chamber of Commerce, the-Dun-edin Jockey, Club, and the Forbury Park Trotting Club. He is survived by his wife, three sons, and one daughter, and had eight grandchildren.
