WOMEN'S HOCKEY
SELECTORS RE-ELECTED The fortnightly meeting of the executive of the Qtago Women's Hockey Association was attended by Mesdames Sonntag (in the chair), Quaid, and Jves, and Misses Warburton, Gourley, Graham, Smith, Wilson, Dickson, Fraser, and Henderson. Mrs Sonntag and Misses Warburton and" Wilson were selected A grade selectors for the 1946 season. It was decided that a receptacle should be placed on the pavilion at the Oval for the reception of score cards after matches, umpires to be responsible for placing 'them there. It was agreed to request clubs to inform the captains of teams that it is their duty, when playing in early matches, to put out line flags, and that of the captains of teams playing later to bring them in again at the conclusion of matches. ■ Miss F. McGregor was granted a transfer from Kings to Dunedin, and Miss M. Deaker from Taieri to MilA letter was received from the Technical School asking for permission to use grounds on the Oval, arid it -was decided that it would only be possible for permission to be granted to girls teams; the day of play to be Tuesday. It was decided that, owinqr to uncertain weather conditions throughout the winter, it would be unwise to allow, plav on the grounds on Fridays. The Otago State Primary. Schools' Sports Association wrote asking for permission to use grounds on the Oval Permission was granted on condition that the bovs were strictly simervised. and that the grounds would not be used when considered unsuitable Cor play after bad weather. Advice, was received that goalposts •on the Oval had been uprooted and damaged over the week-end again, and it was decided that the police should be notified. SATURDAY'S MATCHES.
