IMMIGRATION PROSPECTS

Clarkson, said that any largescale immigration resulting from the gold strike would be welcomed. South Africa would like to see a white population of 10,000,000. a He added that the? Government would continue to require immigrants to have assured jobs or at least £IOO. It was up to the mining industry to secure the additional labour required from overseas.
