REDUCTION IN FARES SYDNEY, April 25. Big reductions in the passenger fares by air between Sydney and London bring expectations of a minor boom in air travel • The fare on the Lancastrian express service has been reduced from £424 10s to £375. On the alternative service by Liberator and Hythe flying boat the new rate is £325, a reduction of almost £IOO. The fare to Singapore is now £135, to Calcutta £197 10s. to Karachi £228 15s, and to Cairo £287 10s. The luggage allowed-each passenger has been increased to 661 b.
