TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l would like to be, one of the many who, I hope, will -say hear, hear to the Rev. B. M. McLevie’s objections to present banqueting. By radio, pulpit, and Press we are exhorted to spare and pare, while those in authority continue ,to pile the good things before people already well fed. And not only in New Zealand is there out-of-place public feasting. What of Mr Churchill’s recent New York dinner to 2,000 unhungry people at 15dol a head P Doubtless it didn’t all go in bread and meat, but what a gesture to a starving world!— l am, etc., Rations for All. April 23.
