FINES IMPOSED (P.A.) AUCKLAND, April 26. A sequel to the return to Auckland of the American ship Flying. Dragon with four stowaways was the appearance in the Police Court of William John Corkery (18),' a labourer, and Roy William Thomas (20), a fitter, who pleaded guilty to stowing _ away. Corkery was admitted to probation for 12 months and ordered to pay £5 towards the cost involved by the ship returning. Thomas was fined £5. The other two alleged stowaways were under 16 years and will appear in the Children's Court.
