MERSEYSIDE FIRE
VALUABLE GOODS DESTROYED POSSIBILITY OF SABOTAGE (Rec. 1.20 p.m.) LONDON, April 14. Over 13,000 bales of cotton, 500 Army vehicles in cases, and tons of other goods were destroyed in a Merseyside fire to-day which gutted two huge sheds at the Mersey Docks inland sorting depot at Kirby. The damage is estimated at £IOO,OOO. Scores of jeeps and three-ton trucks were lost. Officials are investigating. There is a possibility of sabotage.
