SCOTLAND WINS DOUBLE

ENGLAND BEATEN AT SOCCER AND HUGBY LONDON, April 14. Confounding practically every critic "south of the border," who forecast that Britain would win both the Rugby aud Soccer international matches, Scotland surprised the football world by triumphing in both. One hundred and thirty-five thousand persons crowded into Hampden Park to see Scotland gain a sensational Soccer victory—the first in four years —when in the last minute it secured a goal from a free kick. The Scottish Rugby players at Murrayville extracted revenge for their Twickenham defeat by overwhelming England with six tries, of which three were converted, and a penalty goal to England's 0. It is tha biggest margin between the two countries. England was unfortunate to lose its full-back after 10 minutes' play, but Scotland was superior in every department.
