BOUND FOR BRITAIN
PASSENGERS AND CARGO (P.A.) WELLINGTON, March 18. The Blue Funnel liner Tyndareus left Wellington at 5.30 p.m. to-day for Loudon, carrying 100 passengers and a large cargo of meat and wool. Originally scheduled to leave on March 2, the ship suffered many delays, due, directly and indirectly, to weatuer conditions. As has been the case with other vessels on the Wellington waterfront, little vvorlk had beeii -tone on her in recent days, and her loading was not completed until this afternoon. Although the Tyndareus was not built to carry passengers, she was 'converted to ferry airmen across the Atlantic, and now passengers are being carried in these quarters. Many oi the passengers embarked during the week-end, and owing to the delay in departure they had to live on board lor the past couple of days, as no accommodation could be found ashore for them.
