SIX STUDENTS A YEAR TRAINING AT PUBLIC HOSPITAL A training school of radiography is to be established at the Dunedin Public Hospital. The recommendations of the committee set up to make arrangements were adopted at last night's meeting of the Hospital Board. The class is to bo limited to six trainees; the duration to be a_ two years' courso, students to be paid at the rate of £IOO per annum for the first year, and £l4O per annum for the second year, and those employed thereafter in accordance with the classification scheme. The. students will pay fees for their tuition as provided_ for in the prospectus. In the meantime, the Otago University Council has been approached as to acceptance of students for tuition in anatomy and physiology, as is done with the physiotherapy students, and to advise the fees payable. The King Edward Technical , College has also been approached, to, advise as to teaching of physic? and the fees payable for same. The medical superintendent, radiotherapist, and radio-diagnostician were requested to draw up syllabus which was submitted to the board, and the radio-therapist and radio-diagnostHan •■ are to report on the suggestion of application being made to the London school for reciprocity and recognition of training and examination. It is proposed that upon completion of the course, a diploma should be issued by the board.
