MURDERED ALLIED AIRMEN
LUFTWAFFE OFFFICERS SENTENCED LONDON, Feb. 27. Seven former Luftwaffe officers and men vyere sentenced to death by hanging for shooting 12 Allied airmen at Freienwalde airfield, near Rheine, last March, says an Associated Press correspondent in Germany The airmen are believed to have been five British and seven Americans who parachuted to earth after a heavy raid on Treienwalde. They were buried without uniforms or any means of identification.
